Drought levels vary across the state, but all Californians live in a drought zone. And all Californians can play an important role in limiting the impact of drought.
Use water wisely
In recent years, Californians have embraced some great daily habits to save water:
- Taking 5-minute showers
- Turning off the faucet when brushing their teeth
- Washing only full loads of laundry
These are things we can all do – and should continue doing.
By using water wisely, you help stretch our water supply. This reduces harm to vulnerable communities, fish, and wildlife. It also saves energy and money.
